I am a native of Washington and love the Northwest. I live in Spokane with my husband Glenn and am the mother of seven grown children, two grown step-children, and grandmother to nine.
I began painting in oils as a teenager but put aside my brushes to raise a large family. In 1988 I fell in love with watercolors. I have a degree in Graphic Design and have taken watercolor classes from Stan Miller and MariAnne Figgins. I am a member of the Spokane Watercolor Society. I love the flow of the paint beneath my brush and paint as often as I can. I paint landscapes, florals, and some wildlife. I also have a series I call Shattered Reality in which I play warm colors against cools and darks against lights to create interesting collages of form and vibrant color.
Painting is as important to me as breathing. When my life is less busy with work and other things I plan to devote more time to my craft. If my paintings bring happiness to others then I have accomplished my goal.
